Solr 10 bundles Jetty 12, which strictly rejects ambiguous URI path encoding. The previous double-rawurlencode() workaround for the managed synonyms/stopwords API has been removed; non-ASCII characters (umlauts) are now handled correctly. Synonym base words containing % or / remain unsupported (rejected by Jetty 12 / interpreted as URI separator by Solr — SOLR-6853).
In Solr 10 the LocalTikaExtractionBackend (deprecated since Solr 9.10, SOLR-17961) was removed. The tikaserver backend is the only supported extraction backend. Users relying on Solr Cell must use EXT:tika v14+ and provide a Tika Server or Tika app, and every usage of SolrWriteService->extractByQuery() must be refactored to use EXT:tika.
jQuery removal — migration required.
Remove any solr-jquery, solr-uri-jquery, and solr-ui (jQuery UI) asset references from your TypoScript includes and replace them with the updated example templates. New dedicated CSS files (daterange.css, numericrange.css) replace the bundled jQuery UI stylesheet (jquery-ui.custom.css). If you have overridden any of the following Fluid templates, review the changes and update your overrides — data-* attributes and markup structure have changed:

Remove the trailing space in your ext_localconf.php. Same applies to searchResultSetClassName.
Scheduler tasks must still be recreated after upgrading from TYPO3 13 (carry-over from the alpha1 release notes — TYPO3 14 changed the internal scheduler-task storage format from serialised PHP objects to a new JSON-based format).

TYPO3 14 changed the internal structure of scheduler tasks from serialized PHP objects to a new JSON-based format (tasktype, parameters, execution_details). Existing EXT:solr scheduler tasks from TYPO3 13 are not compatible and must be recreated after upgrading.
An upgrade wizard may be provided before the stable 14.0.0 release to assist with the migration.

11.2.3 — 11.2.4 through 11.2.7 were only ever published on the private ELTS mirror and stay
unpublished; there is no patched 11.2.7 or earlier to move to, upgrade straight to 11.2.8.
This is the last planned release on this branch — EXT:solr no longer supports TYPO3 10.4 ELTS
after this release.
