This release makes is-plain-object friendlier for TypeScript users. The exported function is now a type guard, so successful checks narrow values to plain-object records, and the package export map now points TypeScript directly to the bundled declarations.
Behind the scenes, the project has also received a thorough refresh: clearer documentation, simpler tests, an up-to-date Rollup build, GitHub Actions CI across supported Node.js versions, and secure automated npm publishing.
There are no runtime API changes in this release.
