What this release changes for you
This release removes the end-of-life .NET Core 3.1 (netcoreapp3.1) target and replaces it with .NET 8.0 (net8.0). .NET Core 3.1 reached end of support in December 2022, and assemblies built against it are flagged by security scanning tools even when your application runs on a modern, supported runtime.
Applications on .NET 8.0 or later (including MAUI): functionally unaffected — Logs.CoreLogging and all other APIs remain available. The Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.Abstractions dependency floor on this target moves from 6.0.0 to 8.0.3.
Applications on end-of-life runtimes (.NET Core 3.1, .NET 5, .NET 6, .NET 7): these now receive the dependency-free .NET Standard 2.0 build. All APIs remain available except Logs.CoreLogging, the adapter to Microsoft.Extensions.Logging, which is only included in the .NET 8.0+ build. If you use Logs.CoreLogging on one of those runtimes, either upgrade to .NET 8.0+, or use the LaunchDarkly.Logging.Microsoft package, which provides the equivalent adapter on all platforms.
.NET Framework and .NET Standard consumers: unaffected.
Note: NuGet resolves the lowest version that satisfies constraints, so existing applications will not pick up this version automatically. Upcoming LaunchDarkly SDK releases will raise their minimum; to get this version immediately, add a direct package reference to LaunchDarkly.Logging 2.1.0.
Removed EOL target frameworks .NET Core 2.1 and .NET Framework 4.5.2. Lowest compatible platform versions are now .NET Core 3.1, .NET Framework 4.6.2,
The Authenticode signature in the previous release (1.0.1) did not have a timestamp. The 1.0.2 release fixes the signature and has no other changes.
Source Link package is now published.
