Mongo2Go is a managed wrapper around MongoDB binaries. It targets .NET Framework 4.7.2 and .NET Standard 2.1. This Nuget package contains the executables of mongod, mongoimport and mongoexport v8.0.26 for Windows (x64), Linux (x64 and arm64) and macOS (x64 and arm64). Mongo2Go has two use cases: 1. Providing multiple, temporary and isolated MongoDB databases for integration tests 2. Providing a quick to set up MongoDB database for a local developer environment

Mongo2Go 5.0.0 bundles MongoDB 8.0.26 (the 8.0 LTS line) and Database Tools 100.14.0, replacing 4.4.4 / 100.3.1. Because MongoDB 8.0 raises the minimum operating system, this is a major, breaking release.
MongoDB 8.0 needs newer platforms than 4.4 did. Before upgrading, check that your runtime meets:
ubuntu2204 build and link OpenSSL 3.If you must run on older Linux (glibc < 2.35), stay on the 4.x line.
mongod/mongoimport/mongoexport is now bundled, so there is no more Rosetta 2. Together with the Linux arm64 support from 4.2.0 this completes #127. Bundled platforms are now Windows x64, Linux x64 & arm64, and macOS x64 & arm64.libcrypto.so.1.1 / libssl.so.1.1 no longer required — 8.x links OpenSSL 3, which ships on every currently supported distribution and in mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/sdk:8.0. The old libssl1.1 workaround is gone. Fixes #149 and (very likely) #135.chmod, mongoimport/mongoexport, and the replica-set initialisation client were leaking file descriptors on every runner start and every import/export. They are now disposed deterministically, so large test suites no longer exhaust the OS open-file limit.Mongo2Go.dll is now strong-named, so it can be referenced from strong-named / signed consumer projects.MongoDownloader can now pin an exact MongoDB server and tools version, so a release is reproducible.dotnet add package Mongo2Go --version 5.0.0
Thanks to everyone who reported the issues fixed here: #132, #127, #149, #147 and #150.
