The risk with versions previous to 4.6.0 is reduced by:

Correct permissions assigned to the user account that your web application is running under to avoid potential file writes outside the boundaries of the web application's own file system.

Don't use TimestampCacheBuster in production environments.

Ensure Developer Exception Page or detailed exceptions are not enabled in production environments.

4.6.0 addresses the vulnerabilities disclosed here:

Breaking changes

If TimestampCacheBuster is enabled in non 'Development' hosting environments, it will use the AppDomainLifetimeCacheBuster
