Improved Bulk Insert Handling in add_texts and add_documents APIs by @anushakolan https://github.com/langchain-ai/langchain-azure/pull/29 Introduced batching support to prevent SQL Server errors when inserting large volumes of texts or documents. A new batch_size parameter (default: 100, max: 419) allows users to control batch sizes during insertion. This ensures stability and flexibility when handling large datasets. Integration tests confirm successful inserts of over 1000 entries and validate fallback behavior for invalid batch sizes.
Resolved UUID Truncation Issue in custom_id Field by @anushakolan https://github.com/langchain-ai/langchain-azure/pull/73 Fixed a bug where automatically generated UUIDs were being truncated when stored in the custom_id field. The issue stemmed from implicit type conversion in SQL Server. UUIDs are now explicitly cast to strings before insertion, ensuring full preservation. A new test case verifies UUID integrity, and all existing tests continue to pass.
